Balaton Restaurant in Cleveland is most famous for its superb Wiener Schnitzel and a variance of that, the Chicken Schnitzel. Other fine offerings on the menu include Stuffed Cabbage, Goulash Soup, and the Hungarian Lecso, a delicious yellow bell peppers and tomato-based stew. Meals then culminate with a delightful dessert, not too sweet but just right. Choices include strudel, a variety of tortes, or Palacsinta with apricot, poppy seed, or sweet cheese filling.

The wine list boasts simply good wine from the gentle hills of the Lake Balaton region. And if you have a taste for wine with hardier character, try their wine from the Northern regions of Hungary. They also have a selection of both California and international wines and beers available.

Reservations recommended.
