MOCA Cleveland (The Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland) produces compelling exhibitions that feature international, national, and prominent regional artists before their work becomes mainstream. With no permanent collection, MOCA is a gathering place for experiencing contemporary art and ideas in all their forms through exhibitions, lectures, films, dance, music, and family programming. Stop at ARTspace, the gift shop. CURRENT EXHIBIT: Seth Rosenberg : The Cleveland Years September 10, 2010 - January 9, 2011 Originally from Connecticut, artist Seth Rosenberg moved to Cleveland in 2005. His abstract paintings, characterized by a vibrant color, patterning, and dense layering, have become increasingly figurative with overlays of images from diverse sources. With their disjunctive but intriguing narratives, Rosenberg's paintings seem like richly coded puzzles, offering a challenge to decipher that produces a dynamic and enriching visual experience. This exhibition features a selection of Rosenberg's recent paintings and prints.
