Cleveland Neighborhoods Shaker Square From I-271 North and South to Shaker SquareFrom the West - Lakewood From the South - Medina From the Downtown Cleveland from Downtown: Take Carnegie Avenue east. Go 4.5 miles. Continue onto Cedar Avenue east. Take a right and go south on Coventry Road. Go 1.5 miles. Take a right and go west on Shaker Boulevard. Go 1/2 mile until you reach Shaker Square. At 80, Shaker Square, rich in history and tradition, is the oldest shopping district in Ohio and second oldest in the nation. By day, enjoy coffee, breakfast or lunch; explore the shops and galleries and be pampered with a new hairstyle. Experience Shaker Square by night. Dine in an award-winning restaurant. Visitors can try the cuisine of a different country each day of the week. Then see a mainstream or independent movie at the historical cinema. Shaker Square is a major stop on the RTA Blue and Green Lines, not far from University Circle, downtown Cleveland and the Cleveland Airport. Parking: metered parking around the square and free parking in two large parking lots behind the NE and SW quadrants of the square.

Ohio City from Downtown: Take the Detroit-Superior Bridge west and take a left onto West 25th Street or take the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge west and take a right onto West 25th Street. Just across the Cuyahoga River and west of downtown, Ohio City is home to the West Side Market. The West Side Market has more than 180 vendors offering a vast array of traditional, specialty and prepared foods. Ohio City is chock-full of historic homes and commercial buildings. See examples of the diverse architectural styles and fantastic historic renovations. In addition, you can find unique shops and some of the area’s hottest restaurants and nightspots.
Tremont from Downtown: Take I-90 West, exit Abbey Avenue east. Take a right and go south on West 14th Street or go straight on Abbey Avenue and take a right and go south on West 11th Street. High on a bluff overlooking the bend in the Cuyahoga River and the Flats, Tremont boasts some of the best views of Cleveland. With easy access into and out of the neighborhood via I-90, I-77, I-480, I-490 and 176, you are literally ten minutes from anywhere in Cleveland. Within a quarter of a mile, you’ll find award-winning restaurants, boutique shopping and historic buildings surrounding a New England-style town square. Tremont has one of the largest concentrations of architecturally notable churches to be found anywhere in America.
Little Italy from Downtown: Take Euclid Avenue east. Go 4.5 miles. Take a right and go east on Mayfield Road (Rt. 322) to the intersection of Mayfield Road and Murray Hill Road. First settled in the late 19th century by skilled artisans, Little Italy (also known as Murray Hill) has retained much of its Old World charm. A blend of art galleries, shops and restaurants, Little Italy offers some of the finest Italian dining in Cleveland. Don't forget to stop by the wonderful bakeries. Coventry Village from Downtown: Take Carnegie Avenue east. Go 4.5 miles. Continue onto Cedar Avenue east. Take a left and go north on Coventry Road between Euclid Heights Boulevard and Mayfield Road. (Rt. 322) The Coventry Village Business District has been the home to the well-to-do, Jewish and Russian immigrants, hippies, college students and non-conformists throughout most of its rich history. Developed between 1919 and 1922, the district extends from Mayfield Road to Euclid Heights Boulevard. You can find thick milkshakes and vegetarian specialties to Mexican, Indian and Asian cuisine. Shops with imported goods, unique cards and posters and retro "finds" are welcoming regulars and newcomers. By evening it's a place for dinner and entertainment. People watchers delight as students, artists, musicians and locals mingle, filling restaurants, nightclubs and bars with the sounds of the night.
