Great Lakes Science Center
The giant wind turbine along the lakefront at between First Energy Stadium and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame lets you know you’ve found the Great Lakes Science Center. Here, fun and education merge in more than 400 interactive exhibits, daily science demonstrations a six-story domed theater. GLSC is geared toward people of all ages. Kids use science (and their imaginations) in the Cleveland Creates Zone, where they can design and engineer light sculptures, rockets and more. Visitors of all ages will marvel at the NASA Glenn Visitor Center experience with galleries, interactive exhibits, NASA media, and actual artifacts from John Glenn’s historic 1962 Friendship Mission. New in November is All Aboard! This interactive exhibit explores the science of trains with plenty of hands-on activities and a locomotive ride through the exhibit space.
It’s chilly in Cleveland, but visitors can experience the flavors of sunny Spain and Portugal at Mallorca, located in downtown Cleveland’s popular Warehouse District.
